Geoff Sweeney is your Master Level Pilates Specialist who learned the art of Pilates from years of dedicated study and practice. He additionally soaked up a lot of knowledge from his Mother, also a very experienced Pilates Specialist.

Geoff believes alignment can always be enhanced or improved and is the base of staying pain-free, energetic and healthy. He combines physical education teaching knowledge with an understanding of human movement and physiology, to consistently improve peoples minds, bodies and spirits.

Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise, developed by Joseph Pilates, which emphasizes the balanced development of the body through core strength, flexibility, and awareness in order to support efficient, graceful movement.
He called his work controlology and defined the six principles of his work to be Centering, Control, Flow, Breath, Precision and Concentration as he believed that his method used the mind to control the body, and that the body should move with control.
It has become one of the best forms of rehabilitation exercises as well as for sports performance but as he wrote in his book in 1934, Pilates is for everyone.
